Each community offers an active outdoor lifestyle for residents and everything you need for an activity-packed weekend. Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course is the perfect place to hit a few approaches to beautiful greens and lush fairways. In the summertime, locals love to splash around in the freshwater at Lake Mohegan Recreational Area. The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department offers swim lessons for children as young as four.
Nearby, Lt Owen Fish Park is a spacious playground with picnic areas, walking trails, and a lovely pond. Local baseball teams will be satisfied by the two available baseball diamonds onsite. Tunxis Hill Park also offers a soccer field, tennis courts, batting cages, and play areas for young children. For a friendly competition in a private club, Brooklawn Country Club has a bowling league, seven tennis courts, and excellent golfing for hobbyists or professionals. The Summer Kids Club offers nine weeks of fun for children ages four through 14.
